I am pleased to announce that I will be offering two Oil Painting Workshops at the Art Students League of New York this April, 2014. The two workshops are back-to-back; the weekend of April 5-6 (all-day), and during the week of April 7-11 in the mornings. You may sign-up for them individually or together.
While both are Introductions to Oil Painting, the weekend workshop is an information-packed course that gives an introduction to basic materials and methods and utilizes still-life objects. While the second week-long class is also an Introductory class, it can accommodate painters of all skill levels, it uses the model rather than still life, and is meant to be an opportunity to put into practice all of the information that you have been given.
Since I usually teach Life Drawing at the ASL, this is an opportunity for those of you who wish to study oil painting with me. Class size is limited to 14 students, so register now, by calling the Art Students League at 212-247-4510, or through the League’s website or by e-mailing info@artstudentsleague.org. I look forward to seeing you in April.
