One of Ephraim’s landmark paintings from the 1990’s , “Still Life with Burned Books”, will appear on the cover of two different books this year. The first, is German scholar Mona Korte’s study of scenes of book burning in Western Literature, “Essbare Lettern, Brennendes Buch”. The book will be published in Berlin by Fink later this year.
The second is Lory Bedikian’s prizewinning collection of new poems, “The Book of Lamenting”. The collection won the 2010 Levine Prize for Poetry, and will also be published later this year. Congratulations to both of these amazing writers on their achievement.
